Expected Behavior

We expect all users to:

• End conversations politely if not interested
• Report inappropriate behavior promptly
• Follow all applicable laws

Prohibited Behavior

The following actions are strictly forbidden and will result in bans:

Harassment & Abuse

• Threatening, intimidating, or bullying others
• Hate speech based on race, religion, gender, orientation, disability, or nationality
• Stalking or persistent unwanted attention
• Targeted harassment of any individual or group

Inappropriate Content

• Sharing sexually inappropriate material or engaging in sexual acts
• Displaying nudity or sexual content
• Posting violent, graphic, or disturbing content
• Sharing illegal materials

Privacy Violations

• Recording, screenshotting, or streaming conversations without consent
• Attempting to discover or share another user's personal information
• Doxxing or threatening to expose someone's identity

Impersonation & Deception

• Pretending to be someone else
• Using misleading profile information (where applicable)
• Operating bots or automated systems

Spam & Commercial Activity

• Sending unsolicited advertisements or promotions
• Requesting money or financial favors
• Promoting external websites or services without permission
• Using the platform for commercial purposes

Platform Misuse

• Attempting to hack, damage, or overwhelm our systems
• Using scripts, bots, or automated tools
• Circumventing bans or restrictions
• Manipulating the matching system

Enforcement & Consequences

Violations of these guidelines will result in appropriate action, which may include:

• Warning: For minor first-time offenses
• Temporary Ban: Short-term suspension from the platform
• Permanent Ban: Complete removal and prevention of re-registration
• Legal Reporting: In cases of illegal activity, we will report to authorities

Our moderation combines automated systems with human review. We aim to be fair but final decisions rest with our team.

Reporting Violations

If you witness behavior that violates these guidelines:

1. End the chat immediately using the "Next" button
2. Click the "Report" button on the user interface
3. Provide as much detail as possible about the violation
4. Our team reviews reports within 24-48 hours

Good-faith reporting helps protect everyone. False reporting intended to harm others is also prohibited.

Appeals

If you believe your account was banned in error, you may appeal by contacting us through our Contact page. Provide your username (if applicable), the date of the ban, and why you believe it was mistaken. We review appeals carefully.

Updates to Guidelines

These guidelines may be updated periodically to address new challenges or improve clarity. Continued use of ChatRoulet constitutes acceptance of the current guidelines. We'll notify users of significant changes.
